FDM Bio

FamousDaveMoran began his radio career at the age of 15 as a disc jockey in Roanoke, VA.  He retired several years ago as the owner of six radio stations in Virginia and North Carolina.  He is a licensed boat captain and he and his wife Sharon currently reside at Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia.  He has two grown children and four grandchildren.  He’s a super nice guy who has always wanted to be famous.

Dave Moran was diagnosed with advanced incurable prostate cancer June 2012.  Even with this news, he continues to live life setting an example for his family and friends.  He has rose-colored glasses he wears since that’s the way he sees the world.  Being famous has always been on Dave’s bucket list.  So with everyone’s help, we hope to be able to check this off!

    Dear Family & Friends,

You all have asked to let you know about the results of Davids progress in his fight with cancer so we decided to email it to you all. We got the results to his bone scan this morning & the cancer in his pelvis bone has not gone away but it has not spread. His blood work came by and his PSA went down. Needless to say, we are very happy about the results. Thank you all for your continuing prayers and support. It really means a lot to us. Miracles really do happen.

We have also formed a “Famous Dave Moran’s Relay for Life Team” and will be walking at William Byrd High school Friday, April 19th until the wee hours of the morning on the 20th. We’d love you all to join our team if you’re willing and able. See link below if you want to join our team…

If you would prefer to just make a donation to the American Cancer Society, you can do that as well by going to David’s website (www.famousdavemoran.com ) and clicking on Relay for Life at the top.

Please keep us in your prayers. We feel blessed to have all of you in our corner.

    Peace & Love,l
    David & Sharon
